Found/Safe Keeping Property
In accordance to Art. 1817 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, we are allowed to post a notice on our internet website AND social networking website. The notice must contain a general description of the property held, the name of the owner if known, the name and address of the officer holding the property, and a statement that if the owner does not claim the property before the 90th day after the date of the notice, the property will be disposed of and, after deducting the reasonable expense of keeping the property and the costs of the disposition, any proceeds from a sale deposited in the treasury of the municipality or county selling the property.
If you are the owner of any of the items listed below, contact the Evidence Division at the Taylor Police Department to make an appointment to pick up your property. A detailed description or proof of ownership will need to be provided before the property is released.
Any property posted and not retrieved will be disposed in accordance with the law after 90 dates of posting.
