Blackland Prairie Days will be Saturday, May 2, 2020!
This annual festival is sponsored by the Main Street Program, a program which focuses on downtown revitalization within the context of historical preservation. The Taylor Main Street Program supports the redevelopment of the downtown area through historical preservation, education, economic development and heritage tourism.
The festival features plenty of fun activities for the kids including the Heritage Square Splash Pad, train rides, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, duck pond, and much more.
Arts & Crafts
Booths featuring arts and crafts, plants, baked goods and retail merchandise will all be available to provide a unique shopping experience for everyone.
Anyone interested in being a vendor can find an application here. For more information or questions, please contact Main Street Manger Jan Harris at 512-352-3463 or Lucretia Alvarez at 512-309-6185, or by email.
Look for a variety of food and drink so you can spend the day strolling through the festival. Funnel cakes, kettle corn, sausage wraps, snow cones, and local favorites will make you hungry for more! Take a moment to visit some of our downtown restaurants after the festival or on your next visit to Taylor.
Live entertainment will feature local and area talent to celebrate our community’s diversity and live bands for the street dance. Cultural and heritage music and song will be showcased throughout the day and into the early evening. No better way to spend the weekend!
