January 20: Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance. Parade and program.
February 17: President's Day: City offices closed.
April 12 - Relay for Life® is a fun-filled event designed to celebrate survivorship and to raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives, help those who have been touched by cancer, and empower individuals to fight back against this disease. Begins at 5:00 pm at Taylor Memorial Field. For more information contact Debbie Grimm at 352-8966.
April 19: Citywide Spring Clean Up sponsored by the City of Taylor Public Works Department starts at 8:00 am – two drop off locations: 1424 N Main at Public Works Department and Welch Street. Free to all residents who must show proof of city residency.
April 19 - Easter Egg Hunt at 10:00 am at Murphy Park. Children will be divided into two age groups, ages one through three; ages four though six. One parent or adult must accompany each child. For more information call or e-mail Deby Lannen at 512/352-3463.
May through October-- Taylor Area Farmer's Market
Local area farmers sell fresh produce at corner of 5th and Main St every Monday and Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 6pm.
May 3rd – Taylor Zest Fest . Live talent, food, arts & crafts, children’s activities in downtown Taylor beginning at 10:00 am. Contact Deby Lannen at 512/352-3463 or email@example.com for more information.
May 24th – City of Taylor swimming pools, Murphy Park Aquatic Center and Robinson Pool, open for the summer.

July 4th – Taylor Independence Festival Day held at Murphy Park. Tennis tournament. TIF Fireworks at dark. Sponsored by the Taylor Chamber of Commerce.

September 11th – 9/11 Parade and Program. This event is sponsored by the Taylor Fire Department and the First Baptist Church. Contact Matthew Whisenant for more information.
September: Kid Fish® fishing event for youngsters designed to educate and provide hands-on fishing experiences for children across America. November 27-28 Thanksgiving Holidays: City offices closed; NO garbage pickup on Thursday; moved to Friday and Friday pickup moved to Saturday.
December 6 – Christmas Parade of Lights travel down Main Street beginning at 7 pm. Contact Taylor Chamber of Commerce at 512-365-8485.
December 6 - Main Street Christmas Bazaar from 10-4pm. Contact Deby Lannen at 512-352-3463 for more information on the Bazaar.
December 25: NO garbage service on Christmas Day; Thursday pickup moved to Friday, and Friday moved to Saturday.
